That Thing In The Desert 26 Recap – Desert Dome Studio
During the noise and chaos of NAMM week, we headed the opposite direction off to Joshua Tree.
As the sun goes down in Joshua Tree, the desert starts to sound different.
During That Thing In The Desert, the nights moved over to Desert Dome Studio – an intimate space built for experimentation and all-encompassing sound. Players drift between guitars, basses, synths, and percussion. Layers build slowly. The Valhalla amps respond to everything thrown at them, from delicate ambience to full-volume chaos.
This event isn’t about performances or finished songs. It’s about exploration, curiosity, and the moments when a group of musicians locks into something unexpected.
